Bennet, O’Dea spar on issues in final Colorado Senate debate

State Sen. Angela Giron-Kelley (R-Grand Junction) said her bill to require voter approval to raise sales tax to fund a new Medicaid expansion is not aimed at trying to shut out voters.

“We are talking about voting, about what’s important to voters,” Giron-Kelley said. “How do we make sure there are adequate resources in the state system?”
